Tulsa's first cable barrier system is now in place. Workers finished installing the safety barriers on the eastbound Broken Arrow Expressway ramp to southbound U.S. 169.
The cables are designed to prevent cross-over accidents and can also help reduce injuries to drivers.
Another stretch of cable barriers is being installed on I-44 between Lewis and 41st Street South. That work should be finished early next month.
