STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma State's Perrish Cox is seeing less time as a punt and kick returner as his playing time at cornerback is increasing.
With Cox averaging more than 60 plays at cornerback the past two weeks the Cowboys are using Dantrell Savage, Tommy Deveraux and Kendall Hunter more on returns.
Defensive backs coach Joe DeForest also coaches special teams and says he can tell when Cox needs a break from kickoff or punt returns.
At cornerback Cox has broken up seven passes but has dropped four potential interceptions. He says he's been thinking more about returning the interception than just making the catch and is working to focus on just catching the ball first.
