Jury Convicts Murder Suspect

A Tulsa County jury has convicted a man of killing a woman and assaulting another at a Tulsa apartment complex two years ago. 48-year-old Jimmy Ray Lemon was found guilty of first-degree murder in the July 2005 death of his former mother-in-law, 71-year-old Lila Snow.
Jurors also convicted Lemon of assault and battery for attacking 91-year-old Billye Taylor. The jury is recommending Lemon receive a sentence of life in prison without parole.
Authorities say Lemon stabbed Snow and beat Taylor in the head with a hammer.
Lemon remains in the Tulsa County jail.
