Targeting underage drinking is the focus of a two-day conference in Tulsa. Law enforcement officers and city officials from across Oklahoma will attend the seminars, which began Tuesday. The seminars will focus on retail compliance checks, identifying fake identification cards and breaking up parties. The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention are funding the training.

On Wednesday night, officials participating in the conference and underage shoppers will go to bars and restaurants throughout the city of Tulsa. Officials say the underage shoppers will try to buy beer and alcohol at convenience, grocery and liquor stores to test the establishment’s compliance.
