As gasoline prices soar, more and more motorists are willing to try alternative fuels. Drivers in Tulsa will soon be able to fill up and help the environment.
Tulsa Clean Cities and Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor announced Tuesday the roll-out of ethanol blended gasoline at Murphy USA stations in Tulsa. Environmentalists say the renewable fuel will help improve the city's air quality.
“Ethanol is a cleaner fuel. At a ten percent blend, no higher than that, all cars can use it, and can run efficiently, and will run cleaner," said Air Quality Program Manager for INCOG, Nancy Graham.
Ethanol is made from fermented agricultural products such as corn.
