The search is over for a man missing in Copan Lake in Washington County. Divers recovered the body of 77-year-old Blan Cunningham of Bartlesville Thursday evening.

Authorities say the boat the pair was in pulled hard to the left throwing Cunningham and a friend into the water. Officials say both men were wearing life jackets, but when the victim went into the water, the victim’s life jacket apparently got hung up on the boat and Cunningham slipped out of the life jacket. The other person was able to swim to shore and call for help.

Copan Lake is located near the Oklahoma-Kansas state line.

Authorities say Cunningham's body was recovered in 26 feet of water near the Copan Point day use area.
