OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A jail inspection report says Cherokee County Detention Center employees didn't conduct and document required hourly sight checks before a 22-year-old inmate apparently committed suicide.
A story in a Muskogee newspaper about the September 6th death of Aaron Colby Riddle also says investigator Cal Kester's report cited discrepancies between accounts provided by jail officials and medical care workers.
The 22-year-old Riddle was found dead inside a jail cell.
Kester says jail workers told him they were too busy to conduct the hourly sight checks.
