NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma running back Chris Brown is improving after a hard hit to the head but coach Bob Stoops says he's not sure Brown will be ready to play Saturday.

Brown was injured during Friday's win at Tulsa when he hit his head on the turf.

Stoops says Brown's checkups have been good but it won't be decided until late this week whether he'll play Saturday.

The third-ranked Sooners open Big 12 play on Saturday at Colorado.
