IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Dallas Cowboy Terrell Owens says he's been fined by the NFL for his latest touchdown celebration.

Owens says he's been fined "a good chunk of money" for a celebration during Sunday's 37-20 victory over Miami.

The display included Owens using the goal post and football to poke fun at the New England Patriots spying scandal.

Owens later described the amount of the fine as thousands of dollars.

He can appeal.

Owens -- beyond being confused about what he can and can't do -- is frustrated by the league's policing of end-zone scenes.

He says it's kind of hard to understand the rules.

T.O. plotted his celebration days before, after getting suggestions from callers on his weekly radio show.

Now the player says he's going to be more careful with what he does.

The Cowboys on Sunday will visit Chicago.
