ANADARKO, Okla. (AP) -- A convicted killer serving life in prison is being sentenced to another life term for escape, burglary and kidnapping. Charles McDaniels was convicted in Caddo County District Court in Arapahoe of escaping from the Great Plains Correction Center in Hinton with fellow inmate Tony Ellison.
Investigators say the two kidnapped a woman near the prison and drove to Oklahoma City with her, they then attacked another woman and stole her car.
The two were eventually caught in Tulsa and Ellison later hanged himself in a Tulsa jail cell.
McDaniels was already serving life for killing a Tulsa cab driver in 1988.
