STROUD, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers making a routine traffic stop along Interstate 44 on Friday discovered more than a half-ton of marijuana in a vehicle, OHP spokesman Captain Chris West said.

West said troopers stopped the driver of a motor home heading eastbound on the Turner Turnpike near Stroud. Upon examining the vehicle, troopers found 1,087 pounds of marijuana, West said.
