TROY, Ala. (AP) _ In its opener against 16th-ranked Arkansas, Troy kept the score close in the first half before being blown out by the Razorbacks 46-26.

Last week at fifth-ranked Florida, the Gators led 49-to-7 at halftime, but the Trojans rallied and outscored the Gators 24-to-10 in the second half before falling 59-to-31.

Linebacker Marcus Richardson says Troy needs to put two solid halves together, and sees Saturday's game against Oklahoma State on Friday as a good chance to do it.

It will be the first meeting for Troy and the Cowboys, the latter of whom won their first game Saturday against Florida Atlantic.

Troy head coach Larry Blakeney said the level of competition had something to do with the Trojans' slow start.

He said the Trojans need to forget the first two games and concentrate on OSU, which he calls another very good football team.

Blakeney says he hopes the Trojans can play they way they did in the second half against Florida for a whole game against the Cowboys.
