WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) -- Weatherford police have arrested a day care operator on a first-degree murder complaint after the death of a 10-month-old baby in her care.

Police Captain Louis Flowers says 25-year-old Lindsay Pope was arrested Thursday night after the death of Luke O'Daniel. Flowers said that the state medical examiner's office listed O'Daniel's preliminary cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head.

Pope was scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Custer County District Court in Arapaho.

Flowers says Weatherford police received a 911 call of a child not breathing about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at the day care Pope operates out of her home. The infant was taken to Weatherford Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Human Services says the child-care facility has been closed.
