It was a busy holiday weekend for Lake Patrol units on two Oklahoma lakes as they worked several boating accidents. Two of those accidents took place on Grand Lake. The GRDA Lake Patrol say two boats collided at the entrance to Duck Creek on Grand Lake on Sunday. Twelve people were on the two boats, but no one was seriously hurt.

On Saturday, a personal watercraft collided with a boat on Grand Lake at Duck Creek. The GRDA Lake Patrol says a woman on the boat had to be flown to a Tulsa hospital because of her injuries.

Two other boating accidents occurred on Kaw Lake. The Oklahoma Lake Patrol says a man from Newkirk tried to spin his boat on the water when he was thrown from the boat and hit by the boat’s propeller. The man was flown by helicopter to a Ponca City hospital in serious condition.

And a Kansas man was killed when his boat was hit by another boat on Kaw Lake on Saturday.
