ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) _ The University of Alaska Anchorage will get a taste of a basketball legend this fall in the Carrs-Safeway Great Alaska Shootout.

The Seawolves' opening game will be against Texas Tech, coached by Bobby Knight, who won three national titles coaching Indiana.

The Shootout is played annually over the long Thanksgiving weekend.

It begins this year on November 21st.

For the 23rd consecutive year, some shootout games will be televised nationally by ESPN -- including the UAA-Texas Tech matchup.
