SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ The Tulsa Drillers fell farther back in the race for the second half North Division title in the Texas League.

Springfield beat Tulsa 8-2 Thursday night and the Cardinals move into a first-place tie with Arkansas. The Travelers split a double-header with Wichita.

Tulsa is two-and-a-half games out of first and play at Springfield again Friday night.
