Robbery Suspects Arrested

Two armed robbery suspects have been arrested in the 600 block of North Grant Avenue in Sand Springs. The Creek County Sheriffâ€™s Office along with Sand Springs Police arrested Tramell Thompkins and Ashley Looney, both 18, in connection with the robbery of the Sonic Drive-In in Bristow on August 5.

Creek County authorities had been tracking the pair for several days before making an arrest Thursday afternoon. Authorities say Thompkins and Looney had been hiding at various locations in Drumright, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, before turning up in Sand Springs.

Sand Springs Police say Thompkins was arrested attempting to flee from law enforcement officers. Looney was arrested while hiding in a nearby travel trailer.
