HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) _ A bag of chicken strips made by an Oklahoma company and sold in Pennsylvania has been found to have mercury and glass shards in it. The Fast Fixin' strips were made by Advance Brands of Oklahoma City
Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture says tests on other bags made from the same lot found nothing. Agriculture Department spokesman Chris Ryder says officials don't believe there is a problem with the chicken strips.
A ball of mercury was found inside one of the strips when it was cut open after two children complained about the taste while eating the chicken.
The family that bought the strips went to a hospital but officials say they're not aware of any illness.
A spokeswoman for Advance Brands says nothing unusual was found when it checked the plant. The company says it doesn't use mercury thermometers or any glass instruments in the facility.
