STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy says the Cowboys responded well in the first practice after a day off on Sunday.

OSU worked out once Monday and will have two practices Tuesday. Tuesday is to be the final day of two-a-day practices.

Gundy says it sometimes takes a while for the players to get started after an off-day but says the team did a good job of being ready.

OSU opens the season September 1st at Georgia.
