PERKINS, Okla. (AP) -- A Pawnee County man has died of injuries he suffered in a one-car accident shortly before midnight in Payne County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says David Eugene Williams of Maramec died just after 12:30 Monday morning in an Oklahoma City hospital about an hour after the crash.

Troopers say Williams was injured when the car he was driving went off State Highway 33 and skidded into a tree. The car then rolled twice and Williams was thrown about 25 feet.
