PURCELL, Okla. (AP) -- A new trial date has been set for the Purcell man accused of killing a 10-year-old girl as part of a cannibalistic plot. Documents filed in McClain County District Court show the trial of Kevin Ray Underwood is to begin February 19th in Cleveland County District Court. The trial was moved to Cleveland County because of pretrial publicity.
The trial was to begin Monday but was postponed when Underwood's lead attorney stepped down last month.
Underwood is charged with first-degree murder in the April 2006 death of Jamie Rose Bolin.
The girl lived in the same apartment complex as Underwood and her body was found in a plastic tub in Underwood's closet.
