Man Wanted In Oklahoma Takes Dallas Police On Chase

DALLAS (AP) -- A police chase Tuesday ended in northwest Dallas with five vehicles in a wreck at a busy intersection and three people hurt. Authorities say a speeding pickup driven by the suspect, 25-year-old Leonard Stephenson is among those that crashed.

Police say Stephenson suffered minor injuries.

At least two other people suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Stephenson had pulled a weapon when officers confronted him.

Stephenson is wanted in Atoka County, Oklahoma, on five felony and six misdemeanor warrants they include armed robbery and parole violation.

Police found methamphetamine in the truck Stephenson was driving -- but no weapon.

Officers saw him throw several items out of the pickup during the chase.

Stephenson bonded out of jail last week on drug, evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charges.
