OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A federal appeals court says Oklahoma's law banning state recognition of out-of-state adoptions by gay couples violates the U.S. Constitution. The Tenth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a ruling by a federal judge in Oklahoma that says the law passed in 2004 is unconstitutional.

The appeals court says the law violates the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the Constitution which requires states to give "Full Faith and Credit" to acts, records and judicial proceedings of every other state.
