Professional golf is not the only competition in town this week. Season 4 of “Gimme The Mike" continued Monday night on Channel 6. Our final four preliminary contestants took the stage, but the judges only voted one of them through to the finale. That is Wilton Lombard of Muskogee. His version of "My Cheri Amour" secured him a spot in the live finale.
One of Monday night's runners-up also won a chance to move on as a wildcard contestant. Viewers could vote for their favorite singer, either online or by phone. Nearly 16,000 people voted and with 76% of the total, it was Colton Swon of Muskogee who came out on top. Swon is our final wildcard contestant.
Swon along with the other 4 winners will go head to head next week in our wildcard round to see which one moves on to the finale. That special "wildcard" episode of Gimme The Mike is next Monday.
Speaking of the "Gimme The Mike" finale later this month at Cain’s Ballroom. You can be a part of that finale with a live performance by country singer Bryan White. Register to win tickets at Mathis Brothers Furniture in Tulsa, August 7 through August 16. Then watch Six In The Morning or listen to 92.9 KBEZ for ticket giveaways August 13 through August 17.
