An Oklahoma soldier last week after nearly losing a leg in a roadside bombing in Iraq nearly three years ago. 39-year-old Army Staff Sgt. Jack Richards lived most of his life in Broken Arrow, but was now living at Fort Bragg in North Carolina because of medical treatments.

Members of Richards’ family in Broken Arrow, say Jack Richards was wounded in 2004 while serving in Iraq. He was found Sunday at his home in North Carolina.

Richards graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1986 and from Rhema Bible College in 1993.
