AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ One stunning upset by Oral Roberts apparently hasn't scared Big 12 opponents from putting the Golden Eagles on their nonconference schedule.
Oral Roberts, which scored one of college basketball's biggest upsets last season when it went on the road and beat third-ranked Kansas, will play at Texas on Dec. 18, according to the Longhorns' schedule that was released Friday.
The Golden Eagles beat Kansas 78-71 last November behind seven 3-pointers from Marchello Vealy. But they'll be without their leading scorers, Caleb Green and Ken Tutt, when they play at Texas this year. Green and Tutt led Oral Roberts to two of the past three Mid-Continent Conference championships.
When reached Saturday, Oral Roberts spokesman Cris Belvin said he couldn't comment on the Texas game because the Golden Eagles' schedule hasn't been finalized yet.
The Longhorns' schedule also includes an exhibition game against Oklahoma City University on Nov. 8 and the usual two meetings with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in Big 12 play.
