NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- One son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid has pleaded guilty to drug and traffic offenses, while another son has decided to go to trial on drug and weapons charges.
Twenty-four-year-old Garrett Reid pleaded guilty to recklessly endangering another motorist, driving while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and minor traffic offenses.
Police say he admitted to having used heroin after he ran a red light on January 30th and injured another motorist. Police say they found syringes with heroin, testosterone, a variety of pills and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.
Twenty-two-year-old Britt Reid has requested a jury trial on charges stemming from a traffic dispute in which police say he brandished a handgun at another motorist. That incident also allegedly occurred January 30th.
His trial is set for mid-August.
