WAGONER, Okla. (AP) -- A 46-year-old Wagoner woman is dead after the car she was driving collides with a tractor. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and State Highway 51B about 6.3 miles south of Wagoner.
Troopers say a car driven by Cathy A. Ellis was southbound on U.S. 69 and went through a red light, striking a tractor driven by 42-year-old John L. Chrisman of Tulsa that was westbound on the state highway.
Ellis was taken to a Tulsa hospital but later died from her injuries. Her passenger, 15-year-old Rachel Ellis, was treated and released at a Tulsa hospital.
Chrisman was not injured.
