UNDATED (AP) _ Orlando Magic big man Dwight Howard has a new five-year contract extension. It's worth $85 million.
Howard has made tremendous progress since being taken first in the 2004 NBA draft out of high school. He was selected for this past season's All-Star game.
Howard played in all 82 of Orlando's games last season, averaging 17.6 points and 12.3 rebounds while helping lead the Magic to the playoffs for the first time in four years.

-- The NBA champion San Antonio Spurs have re-signed two players from the 2006-2007 championship team. Jacque Vaughn and Matt Bonner each agreed to a multi-year deal.
-- The Dallas Mavericks have re-signed veteran swingman Devean George to a one-year deal. He averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds for the Mavs last season when he started 17 of the 60 games in which he played.
