Northeast Oklahoma’s floodwaters are not just affecting people. That is why the American Humane Society sent its "Red Star Animal Emergency Services Team" to Miami. You can't miss their truck, it's affectionately called the "rescue rig".
The 82-foot long customized tractor-trailer has state-of-the-art emergency control center, veterinary clinic and temporary shelter. It even has boats and other rescue equipment. Plus, it has living accommodations for fifteen people and enough supplies so they don't have to re-stock for ten days.
The truck is located at the corner of Central and "D" Street in downtown Miami.
