ADA, Okla. (AP) -- Heavy equipment operators are working near Ada to pick up a locomotive and five freight cars that derailed about 20 miles west of the city after running into water on the track.

A spokesman for the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railway says the train derailed about 2 o’clock Friday afternoon. Joe Faust says no one was injured and there was no danger posed to area residents.

He says the lead locomotive made it through the flooded portion of the track, but the second locomotive and five cars derailed. One car lost its entire load of coal and a second car lost about half its load.

Faust says the other overturned cars didn't lose their freight.
