One Tulsa family is counting their blessings after an early Wednesday morning house fire. The fire started around 5:45 am at a home near 8th and Toledo. Tulsa Fire says there were six people inside the home at the time of the fire. Everyone in the home was awakened by the smoke detector, and managed to get out safely.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

A short time later, an elderly Tulsa couple wake up to find a fire in their den. It happened at a home in the 500 block of 27th Court North.

Tulsa Fire says this fire is believed to have started in the attic of the home. An extensive amount of damage was done to the upper portion of the home and there was heavy smoke damage throughout.

The cause of this house fire is also under investigation.
