BOSTON (AP) _ The region's latest winter storm has moved away, but not before leaving several more inches of snow on the ground and wreaking havoc with holiday travel at Logan International Airport.
Massport spokesman Phil Orlandella said 36 arriving or departing flights were canceled as of Friday morning at Logan, and minor delays were expected on other flights.
Officials said more than 150 flights were canceled at the airport Thursday. Passengers on one Delta flight to Los Angeles said they spent several hours on the tarmac before being told the plane would not be taking off.
Delta spokeswoman Betsy Talton told The Boston Globe that among the problems Thursday were unexplained delays in de-icing aircraft.
New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts bore the brunt of the latest storm, with some areas getting up to 9 inches of snow.
