It's traditionally the busiest time of year for the Salvation Army. Now in the wake of the ice storm, volunteers are giving even more. The group has opened up its mobile kitchen to provide meals for Tulsa's emergency responders. They're feeding about 1,000 people a day.

“To help keep them working. The quicker they're working, the quicker their power comes back on, and this is a small way the Salvation Army can help the effort,” said the Salvation Army’s Brad Borror.

Volunteers say they're happy to help, but the storm has greatly affected their Christmas campaign. They say the Salvation Army is down about $50,000 to $60,000 in holiday donations.
