TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The state Pardon and Parole Board is recommending parole for a woman who killed her estranged husband 30 years ago. Rosemary Jetton is serving life in prison for the 1977 shooting death of David Lee Jetton.
The board voted 3-2 to recommend parole and that Jetton then begin serving a two-year sentence she was given for escaping from prison.
Jetton told the board she believed her husband had hit one of her children. She said she then lured him to her home and shot him after they began arguing. The parole recommendation now goes to the governor.
