DALLAS (AP) _ Oklahoma linebacker Curtis Lofton is one of four Sooners and one Oklahoma State Cowboy on the AP All-Big 12 team being announced Thursday.

Lofton was named AP Big 12 defensive player of the year Wednesday and is a unanimous choice for the all-conference team in the voting by 20 sports writers who regularly cover the Big 12.

Other Sooners on the first team are offensive lineman Duke Robinson, defensive end Auston English and defensive back Reggie Smith. Smith was the preseason defensive player of the year.

Oklahoma State running back Dantrell Savage is the Cowboys' first-team selection.
