After a statewide contest to pick the winning design, the commemorative Oklahoma Statehood Quarter is now being minted.

The Oklahoma Statehood Quarter will feature the scissor-tailed flycatcher and the Indian blanket, the Oklahoma state bird and wildflower.

The Oklahoma quarter is the latest to be released in the state quarter series. It is expected to be in circulation in January.
