Eating out can eat into anyone’s budget. The best way to save money is to stay home, but if you want to eat out follow the tips below.
Don't Order Two Dinners
When going out with someone order an appetizer and an entrée then split it. Many restaurants have large portions big enough for two people.
Just Order Side Items
A salad and an appetizer often make for a good and affordable meal.
Use The Leftovers For Lunch Or A Second Dinner
Since many restaurants serve big portions you can take half of your dinner home. When you order an entrée ask for a to-go plate too. This way when your food comes you can put half of it away for later, giving you two dinners for the price of one.
Drink Water
Many restaurants charge up to $1.50 for a soda, but most times they do not charge for water.
Skip Dessert
When eating out don’t get their expensive ice cream or cake, just pick up a gallon of ice cream on the way home, it’s cheaper.
