Many Tulsa area residents walked away with pieces of a longtime Tulsa food distributor. Tuesday, Hale Halsell auctioned off old forklifts, desks, photographs and other remnants.
The company filed for bankruptcy protection in March after cutting about 300 jobs. Daniel Duckwall with Duckwall and Company: "Kinda sad companies like this that have been around 100 years, sad for employees of 40 or 50 years."
Proceeds from the auction go toward paying off creditors. Hale Halsell had debts of about $32-million when it filed bankruptcy earlier this year.
