A Tulsa family seeking justice in a death, made the final step in their journey Tuesday. Shawn Howard's family turned in more than 12,000 signatures on a petition to have a grand jury examine the evidence in his case. They only need 5,000.

Howard was beaten to death back in June, a man was arrested, but no charges ever filed because the Tulsa County DA says it's a clear cut case of self-defense.

Howard's family disagrees and that's why they want a grand jury to hear the case.
