OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- More than 500,000 telephone numbers have been registered in Oklahoma's Don't Call program since it cranked up two years ago.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson's office says 557,924 telephone numbers are registered under the Telemarketer Registration Act.
The Don't Call law was passed by the Legislature in 2002. Edmondson's office began signing people up for the registry two years ago Thursday.
The law forbids telemarketers from calling numbers on the list.
A total of 472 telemarketing companies have subscribed to the list, including 103 Oklahoma-based telemarketers.
Edmondson's office has collected $57,600 in fines from eleven telemarketers accused of violating the law.
