Oklahoma Christian University alumni donate $1.5 million to school

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A North Carolina couple who met 30 years ago on the campus of Oklahoma Christian University announce today they are pledging $1.5-million to the school.

Charles Branch Junior and his wife -- Lisa -- donated the money to the Oklahoma City school in their parent's honor today.

The gift will go for the support of the university's Bibilical Studies Center, which was renamed the Williams-Branch Center for Biblical Studies.

A 1977 graduate of Oklahoma Christian, Charles Branch is a neurosurgeon and the chair of Wake Forest University's Department of Neurosurgery.
