MEEKER, Okla. (AP) -- A 62-year-old woman's death is the first homicide in this small town in at least 10 years, authorities said.

A relative found Wanda Jackson at her home and called 911 Thursday morning. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.

Jackson's hands were bound with wire and preliminary reports show she died from blunt trauma to her head, authorities said.

Officials at the scene said it appeared Jackson had been dead for several hours. Sheriff Dale McNelly said she may have been killed sometime Wednesday night.

McNelly and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are assisting Meeker police with the case.

A possible suspect has been identified but authorities wouldn't release that person's name.

No arrests have been made.

Officials released few other details about the death.
