Tulsa Police are investigating an unusual early Thursday morning accident in the 2200 block of North Rockford. Officers say at around 1:30 AM they received a call that a car had crashed into a house.

When they arrived, the driver of the car had left the scene. Police did find traces of blood on the seat and the dashboard of the car, but they don’t know the extent of the driver’s injuries.

Authorities say this isn't the first time it's happened in this area. Tulsa Police Sgt Mike Eckert: “We talked with one of the neighbors down the street, and a couple years ago, a young lady drove her car into this neighbor’s front living room. This kinda thing happens in this neighborhood with some frequency."

Tulsa Police say the car was -not- reported stolen. They plan to question the car's owner. An elderly couple was home at the time. They were not hurt.
