An initiative is underway in Tulsa to make sure Tulsa's growing Hispanic population votes this November.
Tulsa Police officers are working with the mayor's office to raise awareness and to get Hispanics registered to vote. Officers say many people don't realize their rights as US citizens.
Tulsa Police officer Jesse Guardiola: "There are so many first generation Americans in this country who don't know that they can make a voice for themselves. So what we want to do is let them know that by registering to vote, that's how you can unify and make a voice for yourself."
If you have any questions, or would like help registering to vote, you can call the Mayor's Action Line at 596-2100.
