High speed is being blamed for an accident that closed part of a Broken Arrow highway Friday and sent several people to the hospital.

Broken Arrow Police say two cars were racing on the BA Expressway near Elm, when one car went out of control and crashed. The exit ramp at Elm was closed for nearly an hour while crews worked to clean up the wreck.

Two people were taken to the hospital. No word on their injuries.
