ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) _ No formal charges were filed Thursday against Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Randolph or his brother in the shooting of three men on a nightclub dance floor, a court administrator said.
Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings said Tuesday that he would file formal charges on Thursday against Roger Randolph, 22, in the shooting last Sunday at an Anderson night club.
He had been arrested on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness, a felony carrying a standard four-year prison sentence, and was released Monday from the Madison County Jail on $40,000 bond.
Zach Randolph, 23, has not been arrested.
Cummings said Tuesday that Zach Randolph could be charged with false informing because of statements he gave police.
The Madison County Court Administrator's Office told the Chronicle-Tribune of Marion that formal charges have not been filed against either man.
The Associated Press left a message at Cummings office seeking comment.
Anderson Police Detective Terry Sollars said the case remains under investigation.
Police said Roger Randolph fired a gun inside Sinbad's Lounge and Grill after an argument.
