OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Complaints of murder and shooting with an intent to kill were filed against a 19-year-old who has been arrested in the slaying of an Oklahoma City man.
Joe Y. Sayerwinnie was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on Wednesday, records show.
Police on Monday arrested 18-year-old Steven Chavarria on identical counts, stemming from the Aug. 15 killing of Rocky Ruiz, 23.
The shooting is associated with Hispanic gang activity on the city's south side, investigators believe. Police found Ruiz dead and an uninjured passenger in his vehicle.
Sayerwinnie has six arrests in Oklahoma City, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and robbery, police said.
Chavarria has seven prior arrests by Oklahoma City police, including suspicion of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, records show.
He has two pending cases in Oklahoma County for transporting a loaded firearm and obstructing an officer.
Both men are being held without bail.
