PURCELL, Okla. (AP) _ A Texas teenager is dead today after his vehicle ran off Interstate 35 in central Oklahoma and rolled several times.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Bryce Robert Shaw of Plano, Texas, was driving north on Interstate 35 near Purcell when his 1991 G-M-C left the road for an unknown reason.

The highway patrol says Shaw overcorrected and caused the vehicle to roll several times and end up on the driver's side.

Shaw was partially ejected in the crash shortly before 1 p-m today. O-H-P says Shaw was only wearing a lap belt and died of head injuries.

A woman riding with Shaw was treated and released with back injuries and Shaw's older brother was not injured in the crash.
