Heavy rains and slick streets cause several accidents late Thursday and early Friday morning in Tulsa. One includes injuries to a Tulsa Police officer.
Authorities say a roadblock had been set up around an accident on the Broken Arrow Expressway, when another driver came around a curve and hydroplaned into a patrol car.
Officer Dan Siebert suffered minor injuries. The driver was ticketed for driving to fast for the conditions and inattentive driving.
Police say in the past 24-hours, there have been at least three rain-related accidents in the same area.
Tulsa Police say alcohol more than wet roads caused another car accident early Friday. Just after 1 AM Friday, a car spun out of control on US highway 169, but didn't hit anything.
Officers say a few minutes later, a drunk driver drove by and slammed into the side of that car. The drunk driver tried to run, but was caught by other motorists.
He faces charges of DUI, and leaving the scene of an accident.
